Sasquatch Music Festival lineup 2011

Festival season is rapidly approaching, and Sasquatch just announced their Memorial Day weekend lineup.  They will be celebrating 10 years at The Gorge in Washington May 27-30.  If you have never had the opportunity to experience a concert at The Gorge, I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite venues in the country, with breathtaking views. Ticket information has not yet been released. Check back with the official site.

Virgin Mobile Free Fest Part 2

Virgin Mobile Free Fest, was one of the best ways to conclude our Spring/Summer festival run. It felt magical just being at Merriweather Post Pavilion, with all it's musical history. All the greats have preformed here, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Bob Dylan just to name a few.

I could not believe how well organized this entire festival was. It took all of 10 min to park & get through the gate.  The festival grounds were full of luscious over grown trees proving plenty of shade.  Besides the trees, there was no shortage of shade with their setup of huge tepees, and wooden loft like bed areas.

LCD Soundsysytem made the entire trip worth it. Their dancetastic set blew me away, and being front row made it that much better! Overall, I could not have asked for a better day, and I thank Virgin Mobile for making this happen.

Highlights: Front row for Chromeo & LCD Soundsystem

Lowlights: Dust storm at the dance tent.
