Passion Pit @ Miami Beach Fillmore 6/13

I have been lucky enough to catch these guys 4 times within the last year, but there was something special about this particular show. It might have been a combination of the broken air, & the sold out intimate dance party. Within seconds of their first song "I've Got Your Number," the crowd was hooked. Despite what felt like 100 degrees in the Fillmore, it didn't stop anyone from breaking it down in the pit. The energy from the Boston based group was undeniable during their hour and half set playing favorites such as; "The Reeling," "Little Secrets," "Moth's Wings," "Smile Upon Me," and many more. Towards the end of the show the crowd was chanting for them to play "Sleepyhead," they assured everyone that they would. In the meantime they broke out with a cover from Cranberries "Dreams."

If you don't already have their sophomore album Manners, do yourself a favor and get it. It's an instant summer classic.
